Pyramid College Celebrates Nation’s 70th Republic Day
The Faculty, staff and students of Pyramid College stood together as one to celebrate India’s 70th Republic Day in its campus with pride in heart and commitment in mind. Republic Day marks the day when India formally adopted the Constitution as the guiding document and became an independent republic. The occasion was graced by the presence of Prof. Jatinder Singh Bedi, Chairman, Pyramid College along with various Sarpanches from villages across Punjab were present on this occasion. The occasion was started with flag hoisting followed by national anthem and then graced with various performances by the students like dancing, singing, poetry, speech and play by students of various Departments namely Gurkanwal, , Harjot , Jagjeet, Kashish, Suman, Harpal, Navjeet , Jasdeep, Jaspreet, Jayantdeep, Arshdeep, Surinder, Manmeet, Anmol, Prabhjot, Neha, Suchika, Dalvir, Harpreet. Gurpreet and Hardeep.
All the faculty, staff and students stood together to take oath at the event which emphasised to abide by the constitution, promote harmony, stay away from the menace of drugs and to defend the women and culture of the country. Pyramid College collaborated with various sarpanches and villages to provide community service and help to the villages by adopting them for the good of the society and nation as a whole.
Prof. Jatinder Singh Bedi, Chairman shared his thoughts with the students and delivered a motivating speech where in he focused on the importance of being an independent republic and how every citizen can contribute towards a prosperous future.
Dr. Sanjay Bahl, Director energised the students with his words and shared his thoughts on secularism, having a drug free society and to offer service to the nation at times of need. He also shared that Pyramidians have always been at the forefront in delivering its duty towards the society and by adopting nearby villages it is one of the many steps that the Group has taken for a prospering new India and a joyous Punjab.
