Students visited Jang-E- Azadi
To explore the sacrifice of our National Heroes in the fight for freedom, students of Pyramid College of Business & Technology visited “Jang-E- Azadi” a memorial made to honour and showcase the contribution of freedom fighters of Punjab.
Students came to know the contribution and sacrifices made by the Punjabi community in Indian Independence movement. Students of Management, IT, Hotel Mgmt. and Animation & Multimedia accompanied by their members of the faculty from the Dept. visited the museum built to pay tribute to the martyrs of the Indian movement for independence. The memorial especially highlights the contribution of the Punjabi community towards the Indian struggle for Independence. Getting acquainted with the past and the exemplary sacrifices of the heroes of Punjab were itself an educating and reforming experience for the young students.
Students were shown various galleries constructed to project the different movement of freedom struggle and a tower known as “shaheed-e-Minar”. Students also visit Auditorium, movie hall, open-air theater, amphitheater, library, research and seminar halls ect. All the students enjoyed this educational trip. They gained a lot of knowledge about Indian and Punjab history. The teachers of college addressed the students that we all must know about the sacrifices done by our ancestors so that we can breathe in an independent nation.
Prof. Jatinder Singh Bedi, Chairman, PCBT was elated at this trip of the students and shared the story of Punjabi freedom fighters and martyrs prior to the visit with the students so that they can get an idea about what they were about to witness.
Dr. Sanjay Bahl, Director, PCBT commented that the excitement and enthusiasm of students was commendable and such visits are much required for the students to know the value of freedom.
