Students visited Best Western Hotel, Jalandhar
Continuing the orientation towards practical training and industry exposure, the students of Pyramid College of Business & Technology, Phagwara, from the Department of Hotel Management undertook an industrial visit to Best Western Hotel, Jalandhar. The students visited the Hotel to take first-hand experience on the working of Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage Service and Food Production related process of Hotel Industry. There are 4200 Best western properties worldwide.
During the visit, students were able to understand that apart from delicious food, luxury and decor, hotel industry had various segments in itself, every unit of hotel industry is working as small industry under a banner of one brand. To make guest feel like home, services from greeting till see off, guestdelight, satisfaction and feedback are the backbone of industry, to understand the guest demand and quality to maintain the long term relation with them.
Other important aspects were also touched by the officials at the hotel namely quality assurance and controlmeasures, HR policies and currently used techniques.
The students had plethora of questions and their curiosity was obvious since the hotel had a state of best guest handling procedures.
Prof. Jatinder Singh Bedi, Chairman, PCBT thanked the officials and shared that such visits at regular basis are vital for the industry inputs to Hotel Management students.
Dr. Sanjay Bahl, Director added by saying that at PCBT students are given platforms at multiple times to explore the industry practices and thereby they are made industry ready from such exposure.
