Blood Donation by students of PCBT
Keeping its promise of providing services to the society, Students of Pyramid College of Business & Technology, Phagwara participated in the noble cause of blood donation, organized by the Union Bank at its completion of 100 years.This camp was organized at Union Bank Branch, Phagwara. Various students participated with zeal and collective enthusiasm along with staff from the college. Approximately 60 units of blood were collected in the camp.
Amongst various students, the volunteer leaders included Ms. Navjot Navi of BCA, Mr.Rushkin Saini of HMCT, Mr Balraj of BAMT, Mr.Ankit of BAMT along with staff donation lead by Mr. Pardeep.
The Blood Donation camp was organized by Lions Club, Phagwara which arranged for fruits, biscuits, milk and coffee for the blood donors. The Chief guest of the programme was Mr.Saroj, The Regional Head of Union bank who encouraged the donors by stating that blood donation is a big donation which can save someone’s precious life and could give happiness to their family. The students were provided with certificates and appreciation for their participation.
The students were happy and equally delighted for the social endeavour taken by them and thanked the organisers and faculty for their support
Prof. Jatinder Singh Bedi, Chairman, PCBT congratulated the students for participating in this social deed and making the college proud. Mr. Bedi further shared that whenever anyone donates blood it also inspires others to do the same.
Dr. Sanjay Bahl, Director, PCBT added that such activities are essential and Pyramid College ensures that students are given opportunities to help the society and nation as a whole.
