PARWAAZ 2019- Inter School Cultural Festival

Events - Rules and Regulations

Note: Last date of confirmation: 10th January, 2019

We take the pleasure of inviting your school students especially XIIth and XIth and to participate in Inter School Cultural festival –PARWAAZ 2019 to be held on 18th January, 2019 at our premises.

Event 1: Essay Writing/ Story Writing

  • Each school may be represented by maximum 3 entries.
  • Theme will be provided on the spot.
  • Maximum time allowed is 2 hours.
  • The participant can write essay in any language (English, Punjabi, Hindi)

Event 2: Clay Modeling/ Best out of waste

  • Only one participant per school is allowed for Clay Modelling.
  • One team per school comprising 3 participants each is allowed for Best out of waste activity.
  • Participants will bring their own material (Clay, Colours & Waste Material) for this activity.

Event 3: Rangoli-3 / Face Painting -2 / Mehendi-2

Theme- Social Message, National Hero, Patriotism

  • Time limit will be 1:30 hour.
  • Team will consist of maximum 1-9 members.
  • Participants will bring their own material (pulses saw dust, Colours, flowers etc.)
  • Maximum size of 3’X3’ will be made available for preparing Rangoli.

Event 4: LAN Gaming

  • There can be only 3 to 4 members for Counter Strike per school.
  • There can be only individual registration for Fifa and NFS Most Wanted.
  • Participants shall obey the event coordinator all times. His decision is final.
  • Use of any unfair means whatsoever shall result in disqualification.

The participants should not mishandle the PCs and consoles.

Event 5: Net Savvy

  • Maximum 2 members per team will be allowed.
  • Maximum time of the event is 1 hr 30 minutes out of which only 1 hr will be given for net surfing and downloading.
  • Page limit is 8 pages including references.
  • Judgement shall be based upon relevance to the topic/theme given and relevance of images and objects used etc.

Event 6: General Quiz

  • One team per school comprising 3 participants each is allowed.
  • There will be different round viz. Politics, sports, Business &Economics, Current affairs, nature and Science)
  • There will be 3 finalists.

Event 7: Drawing and Painting

  • Each school may be represented by maximum 2 entries.
  • Theme will be provided on the spot.
  • Maximum time allowed is 2 hours.
  • The students should bring their own colours.

Event 8: Group Dance / Gidha / Bhangra

  • Each school may be represented by only one team consisting of maximum 10 students.
  • Maximum time allowed is 15 MINUTES.

Event 9: Nukkad Naatak / Skit

  • Each school may be represented by maximum 2 entries.
  • Maximum time allowed is 15 MINUTES.

Event 10: Poem Recitation / Declamation / Paper Reading

  • Each school may be represented by maximum 2 entries.
  • Theme / Topics will be provided before 3 days of the competition.
  • Maximum time allowed is 5 minutes.

Event 11: Individual Singing / Group Song

  • Only one team of maximum 8 students per school and two individuals per school can participate
  • Time allowed is 5 minutes.

Event 12: Young Chef Competition

  • Each Team will consist of 4 students.
  • Students are required to carry their own ingredients, linen, menu card, cutlery and crockery for presentation.
  • Ingredients required and menu card shall be exclusively brought by the students only.
  • Time for presentation will be 2 hours.

Participation:

One student will be allowed to take part in one event only.


Results:

First three Winners will be given prizes and certificates of merit in each event. Overall Winners and Runner-up trophies to top two schools will be given by adding the marks of their position in each event.


The decision and judgment of judges will be final.
